This Halloween weekend, while children collect sweets door-to-door, adults in Vancouver can indulge in a different kind of rich, relaxing treat—a visual feast celebrating global traditions, art, and international friendship.
Organized by the Chinese Enterprises Society of Canada (CESC) alongside the Institute for Tea Culture & Global Dialogue Foundation, the inaugural World Tea Culture & Arts Expo 2026 takes place from October 31 to November 2. Designed as a moment to slow down, unwind, and savour the finer things in life, the expo offers a serene getaway into the peaceful world of tea culture.
While there will be no liquid tastings offered, visitors won't want to miss the stunning visual displays. The two-day exhibition, running October 31 and November 1 from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, features elegant teaware, rare tea displays, cultural artifacts, and promotional exhibits curated by participating businesses, community partners, and representatives from roughly 12 international consulates. Across cultures—from afternoon tea rituals to Chinese ceremonies and Middle Eastern hospitality—tea represents a universal pause in our busy days, bringing people together through conversation and art.
In addition to the visual exhibition, the event kicks off on Saturday afternoon, October 31, with the Tea Business International Forum from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Industry leaders, diplomats, and cultural ambassadors will gather to explore tea traditions, tourism opportunities, and ideas for international trade and cooperation. Speaking participation and display tables are provided free of charge for participating organizations.
The festivities culminate on Monday evening, November 2, with an elegant Closing Gala starting at 6:00 p.m. in the Bayshore Grand Ballroom at The Westin Bayshore, Vancouver. The gala promises a memorable evening celebrating tea, performing arts, and enduring international friendship.
Whether you are a lifelong tea enthusiast or simply looking for an inspiring cultural experience to slow down and savour this autumn, the World Tea Culture & Arts Expo 2026 invites you to step inside and experience a truly global tradition.
