What if your Christmas shopping could help build a church, support local artisans, and inspire young entrepreneurs, all in one memorable day?
Last year's inaugural St. Nicholas Parish Artisan and Craft Fair in Langley exceeded expectations, bringing together talented artisans, enthusiastic shoppers, and a community united by a common purpose. Now, organizers are excited to announce that the 2nd Annual St. Nicholas Parish Artisan and Craft Fair will take place on Saturday, November 21, with doors open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The first event showcased an incredible variety of handcrafted products, including beautifully scented candles, homemade baked goods, chocolates, knitted ornaments and apparel, original artwork, seasonal décor, and much more. One of the highlights was the dedicated room for young entrepreneurs, allowing local youth to showcase their creativity while learning valuable business skills.
Building on the success of last year's inaugural event, which was covered live by WBN News Langley TV, the organizing committee carefully reviewed feedback from both vendors and shoppers to identify what worked well and where improvements could be made. Those valuable insights are now being implemented to make this year's Artisan and Craft Fair an even better experience for everyone who attends.
More than just a shopping event, the Artisan and Craft Fair serves an important purpose. Proceeds will help fund the construction of a new church for St. Nicholas Parish. Over the past year, the parish has experienced remarkable growth, expanding from approximately 1,000 families to more than 1,300 families. While this growth is something to celebrate, it has also created a challenge. The current church can no longer comfortably accommodate everyone attending its increasingly popular services, especially during major religious celebrations.
The fair is also an opportunity for St. Nicholas Parish to give back by supporting local businesses, artisans, crafters, and young entrepreneurs while creating a welcoming community gathering that benefits everyone.
